Emsat exams will be carried out at the university for all students for the first time in cooperation with the Ministry of Education
Al Ain: The United Arab Emirates University has admitted 1,120 new students to the second semester, including 55 international students, 567 citizens, in addition to 351 national service students, 139 students in the master’s program and 8 students in the doctoral program. Emsat exams will be carried out at the university for all students for the first time in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, instead of the skills assessment tests that were previously conducted.
Dr. Suad Al Marzouqi, Associate Provost for Student Affairs, said that the university administration, in accordance with its strategic vision to be the university of the future and the national flagship university, has developed an admission policy to attract students according to the highest and latest standards. It also ensures a model educational attractive and motivating environment fulfilling students' desires with the best quality education outcomes and meeting the needs of the labor market in all academic disciplines.
She added that the university administration prepared plans and programs to attract new students for the second semester. The Admission and Registration Department remotely completed the admission procedures for 1120 new students in all academic disciplines, by organizing orientation program to introduce the university’s facilities, colleges and courses on the university's website. The students can access the website and obtain all the required information, services and academic guidance. She also added, "The university administration decided to cancel skills assessment tests and carry out the Emsat test, for the first time at the university, in order to save time and effort in cooperation with the Ministry of Education."
She also indicated that the university decided to allocate external spaces and establish private parking lots for female students in Al Ain. The university also made general maintenance and restoration for the internal hostel facilities in Seih bin Ammar to accommodate approximately 260 students. The number of female students in Maqam internal hostel are 200 female students, which is equipped with all services. The students are also given some souvenirs when they enter the hostel, to motivate them to exert their best efforts and start the class enthusiastically.
