In line with strategic objective of expanding the network of partner academic institutions, Thumbay Dental Hospital, the leading academic dental hospital in the Middle East region, has entered into an agreement with Gaea Cynosure, one of the region’s leading continuing medical education (CME) providers.
The MoU was signed between both the institutions at the Thumbay Medicity on January 12, 2023, represented by Dr. Danavanthi Bangera, Medical Director at Thumbay Dental Hospital and Veena Jacob, CEO & Managing Director, Gaea Cynosure in the presence of Dr. Thumbay Moideen, Founder President, Thumbay Group, Akbar Moideen, Vice-President Healthcare Division, Thumbay Group and Dino George, Executive Director, Gaea Cynosure.
The MoU aims to provide clinical training facilities for doctors, physicians and surgeons as well as collaborations in various advanced super-specialsed educational programmes in association with Gaea Cynosure. Speaking about the partnership, Dr. Danavanthi Bangera, Medical Director at Thumbay Dental Hospital: “We are delighted to be collaborating with Gaea Cynosure to extend our state-of-the facilities in providing clinical training, open up new educational avenues and offering advanced specialised courses for students and practising professionals.
Through this partnership, Thumbay Dental Hospital and Gaea Cynosure have a shared vision of nurturing healthcare education in the UAE, to develop a highly qualified, specialided and sustainable healthcare workforce.” Meanwhile, Veena Jacob, CEO & MD, Gaea Cynosure, stated, “In our pursuit of empowering the medical professionals in this region, we recognise the importance of pioneering new partnerships that facilitates academically advanced and most-sought-after skill development courses.
And therefore, we are pleased to partner with Thumbay Dental Hospital to conduct the continuing medical education (CME) programmes that opens new facets towards building a best-in-class healthcare professionals, an enabler to achieve the UAE’s goal to provide world-class healthcare delivery.”
The UAE and Canada are set to widen more their bilateral relations in the field of medical education to cover Nursing and Allied Health. Initial targets are on the leadership training and cooperation in the increasingly important areas of artificial intelligence, digital health and telemedicine.

Two architecture students from Ajman University have beaten more than 50 participants from the country’s top universities to win the P&T Architecture Student Competition Awards.
