Job Overview/Summary: The COVID Navigator Specialist will assist people with refugee/asylee, migrant, and immigrant population backgrounds with COVID-19 education and vaccination appointments, coordinating clinics with special focus on vaccinating 6 month – 17-year-old age group. They will work to improve access to and promote the health of clients through COVID vaccinations and ensure up-to-date information and guidelines are provided in a rapidly changing pandemic environment. This position reports directly to the Health and Wellness Coordinator in Turlock.

Undergraduate degree or medical certification preferred, with minimum of 1-2 years relevant work experience in the medical field, public health, or social services field;
Excellent verbal and written skills in English and demonstrated success working and communicating effectively in a multi-cultural environment and with limited-English speakers;
Proficiency in another language desired; Spanish, Dari, Pashto, Arabic, or Ukrainian**;**
Proven ability to contribute both independently and as a team member, take initiative and follow instructions;
Excellent problem-solving skills, well organized with proven abilities to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively;
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook);
Ability to use social media to share information;
Ability to case note, track, and input data onto databases;
Commitment to DEI principles and an inclusive work environment;
Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle with up-to-date insurance, and the ability to travel throughout the service area.
